Lasko and Trump They are Coming To Get You….
A couple evenings ago, I was dead-tired and ready for bed. I had taken Ginger out for a walk before we got some sleep. I have some sort of sleep disorder, which a handful of doctors have attempted to diagnosis unsuccessfully. I can go to sleep in a nanosecond. Granted it was late, but I was pushing myself to wrap-up the classes that I was teaching online and proof a couple essays. It wasn’t an enjoyable time for me. Additionally, I don’t why I was listening to Teach Your Children by Crosby, Stills & Nash. I guess that I thought that doing so would settle me down for a pleasant sleep, which actually didn’t make sense in hindsight. I could have gone to sleep hours before without any external assistance. Nevertheless, this is the song to which I listened. Teach Your Children WellCrosby, Stills & Nash
Graham Nash wrote Teach the Children in response to a picture of a young child holding a toy hand grenade while standing in Central Park. Nash was attempting to instruct us to “teach our children well.” If we don’t, they will windup very much like their parents. For example, here are several examples regarding Fred Trump, Donald Trump’s father. Fred Trump was arrested in 1927 for something that he did at a KKK march in Queens, New York. During WWII, Fred Trump was called in front of a Senate committee for war profiteering. In the early 70s Fred Trump ran up against the Department of Justice regarding civil rights issues. Roy Cohn was Fred Trump’s attorney. Apparently, Fred taught Donald well…in a most negative sense. More interestingly, Donald learned well, and, in turn, taught Donald Jr. Do you see a pattern regarding teaching one’s children? Nonetheless, Crosby, Stills & Nash sang to “teach your children well.” Three generation of Trumps have been adversely affected by being poor teachers. The Trump family saga is at the national level. While Donald the Dumb troubles me, closer to home the teaching issues also rattles me. It has to do with another real estate developer, by the name of Lasko. He was the real estate developer of the subdivision in which I live. He didn’t put in the sewers correctly. Additionally, the developer didn’t allow inspectors to come into the subdivision for an inspection, because it was private land. He saved money by doing things on the cheap and then left town. Miles of sewer drains have been dug up or are about to be dug up and replaced. Much of the subdivision wasn’t even built when I moved into it 15-years ago. However, much of the sewers that are being dug up now are less than 15-years old. You should be asking yourself, does the developer have children that he was teaching? The answer is yes. There is a rumor that the developer’s son is doing time for gun trafficking. I’m checking with the Indiana State Police to confirm this report. Nevertheless, this is what the subdivision looks like on the first half of the replacing all the sewers. These are just some random photos that I took while walking around the lake in my subdivision. However, scenes like these have been the new normal for the other side of the lake for months. Nevertheless, invasion of the sewer-diggers is amassing just a half-dozen homes from my home. The summer will fade into fall before the sewers in the subdivision are all replaced, the streets repaved, and the dust has all blown away. I hope that by then Donald the Dumb will be replaced also. “Teach your children well” before they become the parents of today.
