What Is Trump Doing on Memorial Day?
Either Memorial Day

Today, May 27th, I wonder what the Donald is doing on this Memorial Day. He avoided the draft five times during the Vietnam era. “A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them.’” He thought that Sen. John McCain, who spent five and a half years as a pow. “He's not a war hero, he's a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured, okay?”

The following is an actual scene from the Vietnam War. It is about the guts and determination of an American soldier shot by a sniper. Trump views this soldier as a sucker.

However, Trump wanted a massive parade on Veteran’s Day in 2018, which would have cost $92 million. Due to the cost of his massive parade, he had to cancel it. He tweeted, “When asked to give us a price for holding a great celebratory military parade, they wanted a number so ridiculously high that I cancelled it.” Trump makes counterintuitive statements all the time. On this Memorial Day, he will attend the NASCAR race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Memorial Day was on May 30th until 1968, when Congress passed the Uniform Holiday Act, which put many national holidays on Monday. The change allowed for three-day weekends. So, I wonder what Trump will do on the old Memorial Day. Closing arguments will be on Tuesday, and the jury deliberation will then begin.

Those in the know, like former prosecutors, believe that it could be the 30th, the former Memorial Day, and that might be the day the jury announces its verdict. It is my guess that if I were writing a screenplay for a movie, Memorial Day would be an O. Henry-esque storyline.

The Donald has a litany of psych issues like narcissism, antisocial personality disorder, paranoid personality disorder, projection, gaslighting/fake news, conspiracy theories, ad nauseam.

Mary Trump, Donald the Dumb’s niece, wrote Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man. Her book, published in 2020, describes Trump’s childhood as highly formative in creating the Trump today. She outlines that Trump’s parents. Trump’s mother spent months in the hospital when he was around two. His mother switched from providing comfort and love to her children to using them to provide what she needed. She wrote that Trump’s mother was “prone to self-pity and flights of martyrdom.” I never knew Trump’s mother, but that quote describes part of the Donald’s personality. To make matters worse, Trump’s father hated weak people. It is a two-sided psych issue for Trump, a blending of polar opposites into a mentally impaired person.

Trump had issues with Obama, stating that Obama was born in Kenya. When Trump was elected, he claimed that the crowd at his inauguration was the largest in history. The facts are that Obama’s first inauguration was 1.8 million, and his second was 1 million. At Trump’s inauguration, it was 300,000 to 600,000.

When confronted with facts, he will ignore or rewrite them. Hillary Clinton’s popular vote was 3 million more than Trump’s. However, in the Electoral College, Trump had more electors than Clinton.

National Hurricane Center made predictions of Dorian going up the East Coast, but Troop had predicted it would hit Alabama. Someone used a black Sharpie to correct the National Hurricane prediction.

This Memorial Day, Trump won’t be honoring Americans who fought for our country. He is thinking about himself.
