Who’s He Kidding?
Trump has already named a litany of nominees for various positions in his new administration. All presidents have the right to nominate people with whom they can work. Let me see if I understand some of his nominees. Trump nominated Matt Gaetz for the Attorney General and Pete Hegseth for the Defense Department. Gaetz decided to bow out after an uproar in Washington.
Other than neither Gaetz nor Hegseth had any real leadership experience, they have both been accused of sexual improprieties. Our Virgin King has faced accusations from over two dozen women who have accused him of sexual misconduct, including E. Jean Carroll and Stormy Daniels. Trump maintains his innocence precisely like Gaetz and Hegseth. However, Trump was convicted of 34 felony charges related to sexual misconduct.
Hegseth was in the Minnesota National Guard. He has the Latin phrase Deus Vult tattooed on his arm, which means God wills it. Pope Urban II first used Deus Vult as he blessed the First Crusade on November 27, 1095. “Stupid is as stupid does,” to quote Forrest Gump. Pope Urban II, Hegseth, and Christian Nationalists agree with that motto. God wants you to kill those that aren’t that brand of Christianity.
Here are some additional Hegseth tattoos.
Trump nominated Tulsi Gabbard as the head of Director of National Intelligence. As with most of Trump’s nominees, Gabbard lacks any experience in the intelligence field. To make matters worse, Nikki Haley, the former Republican governor of South Carolina and US ambassador to the UN, said this about Gabbard and Assad. “She went to Syria in 2017 for a photo-op with Bashar al-Assad while he was massacring his own people.”
An even more knowledgeable source of fly in the face of everything America should stand for is the Syrian American Council. They said, “Gabbard's support for vicious dictators such as Mouammar Qaddafi, Saddam Hussein and Bashar al-Assad fly in the face of everything America should stand for. She panders to war criminals, postures against American 'regime change,' and never considers that Syrians have the same inalienable rights that she does to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. One day, when Assad falls, Syrians will show just how wrong she was.”
The one day occurred on December 8. This is Kristen Welker’s interview with Trump regarding Gabbard. Trump deflects Welker’s questions about Assad by saying that he has talked to bad people...and mentions Putin, Xi, and Kim.
Speaking of Putin. Trump trusts Putin and not our intelligence agencies.
RFK, jr. has been nominated by Trump to head the Department of Health and Human Services. Kennedy fits in quite well with Trump. They are both vaccine deniers and skeptics of all medical research. RFK, jr. disses vaccines because they cause autism.
While Kennedy and Trump don’t like vaccines, especially COVID vaccines. Also, Trump didn’t want to wear masks but pushed hydroxychloroquine instead of getting a COVID shot.
Interestingly, Trump wound up in the hospital with COVID in early October of 2020. Before leaving the White House on January 20, before Biden became the new president, Donald the Dumb got his first flu shot.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” That saying is certainly true of Trump’s MAGA ditto heads.
