Ginger Has Done the Dance
We Are Bonded as Dancers

Instead of writing another article about Ginger to add to hundreds of others, I decided to share a routine caretaking event with you. It isn’t a life-threatening medical issue, but it shows our bonding.

Ginger will soon be eight. The first half of her life was healthy and hyperactive. The last half has often been traumatic. She was hospitalized at Purdue Veterinary Hospital several times, one of which she stayed in the ICU for several days. That was her first dance with death. I have lost count of the trips we have taken to Purdue for various checkups. Along with all her prescription medication, Ginger eats only prescription dog foods and no regular dog food or treats.

Watch the video. Ginger knows the routine of taking care of her. However, Ginger is a different dog when I finish caring for her.
