Crowd Size
Size Isn't Critical, But the Truth Is

I'm 74-years old.  I love my family, my grandchildren, teaching, writing, and traveling.  Politically, I am to the left of all my readers and realize that I might be wrong.  When I get additional data, which shows me some error in my thinking, I will move further to the left.  There has been no social movement that emerged from the political right.  However, the political right has been wrong on issues dealing with slavery, segregation, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, poverty, healthcare reform, and the list goes on.

Those on the political right have as their modus operandi the use of the lie.

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.

Case in point. The size of the crowd at the inauguration of Donald the Dumb.

Comparison: Donald Trump and Barack Obama's inauguration crowds

This video is a time lapse of Donald the Dumb's largest crowd from the morning to the inauguration.

In addition to the crowd differences in Washington, DC, Donald the Dumb didn't have the largest TV viewers.

Ronald Reagan's inauguration in 1980 was (and as of this writing still is) the record holder for TV viewership in absolute numbers, with 41.8 million total television viewers tuning in. In 2009, 37.8 million viewers watched the inauguration of Barack Obama via that medium. According to the Nielsen Company, the TV viewership for Donald Trump's inauguration (31 million) did not surpass either of those figures....

I don't wish to lie or even mislead you.  The Donald was not the author of the quote about the value of lying.

It was Joseph Goebbels who was from 1933-45 the Reich Minister of Propaganda for Nazi Germany.  Goebbels also said, "A lie told once remains a lie but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth."

Goebbels

Interestingly, Goebbels also claimed that he was very smart while in college.  However, to be honest with you, I haven't read whether the size of his hands or anything else was large like the Donald claims various parts of him are.

Another example of lies relates to Sec. Clinton's size of the popular vote.  She won due to 5-million illegals to voting for her.

These are two interesting videos about the facts.
