Branding of Trump and McCain
Which Brand is an American?

This essay is about branding. Branding often is seen as a process to create the desire for consumers to buy a product from a company rather than from some other company. This is the American Marketing Association’s definition of a brand, “A brand is a name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller’s goods or services as distinct from those of other sellers.” Whether you sell cars, soft drinks, or tennis shoes, a company’s financial bottom-line is directly tied to how well that company has branded its product.

Additionally, branding applies to politicians precisely in the same way. This essay is a comparison between Donald the Dumb and Sen. John McCain. At one level, both are branded as renegades or mavericks within the Republican party. However, look at the discrepancy between these two rebels with a cause.

Look at some of the really dumb things that Donald the Dumb has said about McCain.

This was McCain’s flight suit and parachute. I took this photo while in Hanoi. Perhaps Donald the Dumb should have visited the Hanoi Hilton. He might have learned something. This is the Hanoi Hilton.

Well, Donald the Dumb didn’t go to Vietnam, because he was able to get four student deferments from 1964 and 1968. Additionally, after graduating, he got a medical deferment due to a bone spur in his foot. Now, which one of these mavericks was a hero?

Later, Donald the Dumb didn’t want to apologize for dissing McCain with this comment, “...yet (McCain is) another all talk, no action politician who spends too much time on television and not enough time doing his job.” Hmmm. Yo, Donald, that sound more like you.

I am not sure whether Donald the Dumb dissed McCain more than Obama. Donald the Dumb wanted to disassemble all of what Obama had created starting with healthcare reform. Donald the Dumb wanted to get the Senate to replace Obamacare with Trumpcare. The problem with that is that it would remove nearly 30-million American citizens from health insurance. However, two Republican senators, Senators Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, planned to vote against repealing Obamacare.

McCain, who was dealing with brain cancer, promised that he would return for the vote in the Senate, to which Donald the Dishonest tweets early in the morning:

Donald the Dumb and Dishonest praised McCain as an American hero...after dissing him as a hero who spent 5 ½ years at the Hanoi Hilton as a POW. However, supporting Donald the Dumb and Dishonest made him a hero for voting for the repeal of Obamacare.

This is McCain casting his vote....

These are the three US Senators who are three republican heroes.

Heroes....

Then there was Charlottesville, VA. Donald the Dumb talked about how the Nazis, the KKK, and White Supremacists were protesting with some good people. Those good people were protesting the taking down of statue of General Robert E. Lee, who wanted to defend the rights of the Southerners to have slaves. Donald the Dumb needs to take a class on American history and the good people in the South who owned human beings.

Yo Donald, is Robert E. Lee an American hero and McCain isn’t? You are Donald the Dumb along with being a racist.

Even though Donald the Dumb announced McCain as an American hero after dissing him as a hero, he forgot an old adage.

Even though Donald the Dumb touts his intellectual prowess, he remains Donald the Dumb.

If Donald the Dumb wasn’t so dumb, he would have realized this truth about life.

An important lesson for Donald the Dumb

That truism might be missed by Donald the Dumb; there are a lot of words to read and digest. Maybe a simple picture would assist him.

What goes around, comes around....
